About Court Rentals

1. Conduct

1. Persons using the Ipsen Family Bocce Park courts must abide by all posted signs. Failure or refusal to do so will result in a denial of use of the courts.
2. Any person present on the courts who is found to be acting in an irresponsible, violent, unsportsmanlike, or otherwise inappropriate manner will be considered a trespasser and asked to leave and will be subject to having their future use privileges denied.
3. The courts are NOT a playground. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Running, playing, and rough-housing will not be tolerated. Bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller blades/skates, and cleats are not permitted on the courts.

2. Food and Drink

1. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into the bocce park. This is necessary to comply with California ABC law, and violations have serious consequences. Anyone who brings alcoholic berverages to the bocce park will be asked to leave.
2. You may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages to the bocce courts. You may also purchase food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, from Skipolini's Pizza, which is adjacent to the bocce park. At the conclusion of your event, leave the area in as clean, or better, condition than you found it. Deposit trash in the appropriate receptacles. Dishes, glasses and cutlery provided by Skipolini’s may be gathered and left on the table to be collected.
3. Beer and wine are available for purchase from Skipolini’s Pizza during the hours which they are open and may be consumed in the park. If you are reserving the court/courts for a private event, you may arrange for the serving of beer and wine at your event and food, if desired, by calling them directly (Skipolini’s Pizza 925-672-1111) if your event is during the hours in which they are closed.
4. Barbecues and gas or electric powered appliances are prohibited.

3. Decorations

1. You may decorate as long as all decorations are removed at the end of your event. Use of nails or tacks, or tape that leaves a sticky residue, is prohibited.

4. Equipment

1. Bocce equipment (balls and pallino) is provided on the courts for your use. To avoid damage to the bocce balls please refrain from tapping or bouncing them on the concrete curbs. Bocce balls must be placed back in their carrier at the end of play.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

1. If you cancel your reservation:
   • More than ten days before the reservation: full refund of your rental fee.
   • Six to ten days before the reservation: 50% refund of your rental fee.
   • Less than six days before the reservation: no refund..
2. The CBCA may cancel your reservation if the courts are unplayable. If the CBCA cancels your reservation you will receive a full refund of your rental fee. If you reschedule your event, you may apply your previous payment(s) to the new reservation.
